I am in no way a professional chef, but I have always loved experimenting with new recipes and new flavor combinations. Someone once told me that I approach cooking “like an artist,” which was the best compliment of my culinarious adventures. I have recently started making a concerted effort to set the dining room table (as opposed to, you know, grabbing a plate from the cupboard, filling it up from the various pots and pans on the stove, and eating at the coffee table…as you do). Over the years I’ve amassed a considerable collection of dishes and napkins and whatnot, and here’s hoping I’ll actually start USING all those pretty things.
